An initial step in creating the Cayuga Lake Watershed Management Plan, the Draft Cayuga Lake Watershed Preliminary Watershed Characterization is now available:

Create and implement a watershed management plan to allow local governments within the watershed to work together. The I/O will provide direction for the regional planning boards and other staff, and oversee the entire project.

Central NY is the administrative agency directing the funds for Cayuga Lake planning from the Dept. of State to the Town of Ledyard. GFL/RPC is the technical lead on the project.
